biorb® biOrbAIR 60 Terrarium

The biOrbAIR Terrarium is a fully automated vivarium that creates the perfect micro-climate for growing tropical plants, replicating the natural conditions under a tropical forest canopy and giving you a 360 degree view of your little slice of the rainforest. The biOrbAIR is an all-in-one terrarium kit with container, lighting, misting module, compost, planting media, filtration, and more!

Acrylic Container
The shell is made of acrylic, which is 10x stronger than glass, 50% light and has a 93% transparency rating, giving you an clear view into your little slice of the rainforest. You get a full 360 degree view of the contents of your biOrbAIR.

Watering System
It uses a treated sterilized coir compost as the growth media to cultivate the plant roots. This compost is placed on top of a capillary mat that draws water up to the compost from a small water reservoir in the base (which has a water level indicator for easy maintenance). The capillary action prevents the plant roots from soaking and rotting.

Lighting System
Natural daylight is not necessary as the lighting is arranged in a six LED array at the top of the sphere. This emits the perfect light output for encouraging natural growth and prevents plants bending towards a single light source. The light also works on an automatic 24-hour cycle, simulating sunrise, daylight, sunset and night time.

Regulatory System
To discourage stagnation and condensation within the biOrbAIR, a constantly running fan recycles the air through a replaceable carbon filter. A small amount of fresh air is regularly introduced as part of the circulation process. To maintain the humidity within the micro-climate, water is added using an ultrasonic mister mounted in the top water reservoir. The mister generates the 'swirling' water vapour if the humidity drops below 75% RH. Choose from three humidity levels: low, high (for certain amphibians and invertebrates) or automatic (for tropical plants). Choose from three fan settings: low, medium or high.
