Craftsman-built in the USA by Amish broom makers, these genuine "broomstraw" brooms (and we are not making that up*). Broomstraw is a grain stalk that is farmed and makes a wonderful natural broom.
We are proud to carry natural brooms because they are nearly 100% natural, biodegradable and sustainable (made from easily renewable resources!) They work well and have been used for centuries.
*Broomstraw: also known as broomsedge or broomgrass, is a common name for the grass species Andropogon Virginicus. It's a perennial grass, often considered a weed, that is native to the southeastern United States and can be found across the Eastern US. Despite its reputation as a weed, it plays an ecological role, providing habitat and food for wildlife, and has historically been used for making brooms
