Hand-built in the USA by Amish craftsmen, this handmade wooden hanging daybed is made entirely of knot-free Southern yellow pine. Our yellow pine is grown in sustainable forests in the state of Georgia right here in the USA. The wood is untreated and these mission swing beds don't use glue but fasteners only.
Perfect for outdoor relaxation on the porch! Includes chains or rope for hanging. This daybed fits an outdoor VersaLoft bed cushion or standard full mattress (53"W x 75"L). If using standard bed mattress, only use in areas where mattress will stay dry.
Available in a wide variety of stains and paints (see additional photos). All stained options utilize Natural-Kote™ eco-friendly soy-based stain. All painted options utilize Natural-Kote™ non-toxic low-VOC paint. This paint contains only 25g/L of VOC -- only 10% of the maximum for non-toxic paints!
Hangs from four ropes or chains using either two or four ceiling hooks (not included). Recommended weight limit is 600 pounds. By default ropes are for 8' ceiling height, though upgrades are available here for higher ceilings.
The recommended clearance behind any of our swings or swing beds is a minimum of 24" (two feet) between the swing bed and a wall so that it can swing freely.
A full size swing bed should always be hung from four points.
