Got Wind? American Eagle Pond-Aerating Windmill! No electricity needed!
American Eagle Windmills are made in the USA by our Amish neighbors. This means they are truly and completely USA made.
Here at Practical Garden Ponds we sell a lot of aeration. Linear Diaphragm Pumps and Rocking Piston pumps. But sometimes a home owner does not have access to electricity or simply wants to harness the amazing free power of the wind!
Now you can add the nostalgic and intriguing power of the wind to turn a high quality windmill to your property and use that wind power to aerate your pond.
Aeration can make your pond safer for fish during the summer when heat robs the water of oxygen and in the winter by keeping a hole open in the ice for methane to escape and oxygen to enter.
American Eagle's windmills produce a generous 6 CFM output in an average wind.
Windmills are available in a roof mount model, that puts your windmill 8' higher than the peak of your highest roof, and also in stand alone models in 13', 18', 23', 28' and 33' heights.
All models come with a 6' diameter spoke welded wheel which starts easily in low wind.
An upgrade to a 6' 6" spoke welded wheel is an available option.
Each tower has four sturdy legs of 14 gauge heavy duty galvanized steel and an angled anchor which will hold the windmill steady even in high winds.
There is a billow air compressor with each windmill.
The design is not prone to freezing.
The bellows and tower have a long life expectancy and the wheel is self-governing to prevent damage in high gusting wind.
Some parts are powder coated for added protection and a beautiful appearance.
With the adaptation of adding a water pump, American Eagle Windmills can also be used to water cattle, using the power of the windmill to move water from your pond or stream to your cattle.
All sizes of windmill come with a 2-way valve, 100' of 3/8" weighted airline hose and a diffuser complete with check valve. Additional diffusers and hose are available for purchase.
Shipping weight is 350 pounds.
All windmills come with a factory warranty of five years on the bellows and 3 years against factory defects in workmanship or materials for the rest of the windmill.
Assembly instructions are included and installation services may be available in your area at an additional cost.
Truck freight shipping in the continental United States is included in the price of the windmills.
